Plus, high emotion today in the trial of the teen track star accused of killing a fellow high school athlete. The victim's parents broke out in tears as police bodycam video of their son's final moments were played in court. Justin Finch has more including the racial division surrounding the case. And as we head into the busy wedding season there's a trend growing in popularity, brides jumping into pools, or any body of water, in their gowns. Is it dangerous? Excitement over game one of the NBA Finals spilled out of the arenas, bringing traffic to a halt as thousands of fans partied it up in all sorts of places including bars, stores, and street corners. And a desperate search is underway for a 20-year-old college student who disappeared while on a family trip in Japan. A typhoon is moving through the area, making search efforts more difficult. We spoke with the student's parents who are holding onto hope. Plus, it was a terrifying day at the beach. A college basketball coach jumped in the surf to save her young nephew who was caught in a riptide. Then, as Justin Finch reports, she needed to be rescued herself. And the low budget horror film Backrooms is the number one movie. It takes place in a “zombie mall” where there is not a shopper in sight. And as Jim Moret report, fans are flocking to a real-life “zombie mall” to get the full experience.

    It's a heartbreaking tragedy. A mother and five siblings murdered by the father, who then took his own life. A whole family wiped out, except for one lone survivor. Many of the stars who are always courtside in New York are expected to fly to Texas for tonight's big game. But the San Antonio Spurs have their own secret weapon -- a group of nuns. Plus, a hunched over elderly woman working at a movie theater cleaning up garbage. When a young theatergoer saw her, she knew she had to help. Alison Hall reports. And she went out to walk her dog and ended up being brutally attacked by a stranger. Her face was so battered she was left with damage to her vision. She spoke with Justin Finch about what happened.
