  • E66: Be Your Own Agent, Reflections from Nancy Griffin
    May 5 2026
It’s hard to match the enthusiasm of Nancy Griffen (if you listened to last week’s episode, you know what we mean), but Amy and Mark do their best in this episode as they reflect on their conversation with Nancy about accomplished women. In this episode, we share our thoughts around the power of women finding a “second act” in their lives and the importance of: - Finding the right advisors to support your dreams. - Philanthropy as a factor in fulfilling your life’s purpose. - Focusing on health as a priority. If you know a Prime Time Women – someone 55-70 who is starting another chapter of purpose in her life – or if you are a Prime Time Women, listen in and add your thoughts in the comment. It’s not just about accomplishing big goals, it’s about continually seeking growth. Nancy is a connector and influencer attributing her success to personal courage, determination, and joy, when focusing on women’s health and wellness, hence creating Women, Worth & Wellness. Nancy enjoys every opportunity to inspire and inform women about their personal health and wealth, net worth and self-worth, philanthropy and legacy—so that women feel fabulous, generous, joyful, confident, and on top of their game every day. • E64: Be The Light, Reflections from Tammy Rene
    Apr 21 2026
Humans crave light. Sometimes, even when the sun is shining, we feel in the dark emotionally and need to find light. In this episode of the Infuse Compassion podcast, Amy and Mark reflect on their conversation with Tammy Rene in last week’s episode. We talk about finding our way back to light when life turns dark. We discuss: - How we can be helpful in providing light to others. - The importance of finding tools and resources to help you out of darkness. - The power of seeing people and recognizing their value. Darkness happens, often through the actions of others. Finding the way to light requires compassion and builds within us the compassion to help others. Join us for this conversation, then add to the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. As a survivor of childhood sexual and physical abuse in a cult, Tammy René brings her personal experience of overcoming trauma to audiences to inspire hope and understanding. Her messages offer victims of childhood trauma keys to healing and offer insights for helping lift those who struggle on their healing journey. Tammy's life story dismantles the stigma of mental illness and shows that “regardless of the pains and heartache we are called to go through, all of us can find light and hope, ultimately thriving in a life that is uniquely our own.” She currently volunteers with her local Suicide Prevention Network as a PTSD support group facilitator. She has worked as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) on behalf of abused and neglected children. Tammy hosts two podcast series: "Survivor Shift: Moving from Surviving to Thriving," where she interviews others about critical shifts in thought and behavior that allowed them to move forward after trauma; "Building on the Light," where guests share pieces of light they've discovered that help them continue to build a life they can thrive in. She is the author of her bestselling and award-winning memoir, "Miracles in the Dark: How a Childhood Cult and Abuse Victim Reclaimed the Light". • E63: Find the Light with Tammy Rene
    Apr 14 2026
Note: Be aware that this episode addresses mistreatment of children and other challenging topics. It may not be appropriate for younger audiences. Childhood experiences impact us even as adults. For some, those experiences are motivational. For others, they can be devastating. Our guest this week survived a difficult childhood but found her way to light and hope. Even in the midst of her pain, her true self never stopped hungering for light. In this episode of the Infuse Compassion podcast, Tammy Rene shares how a single act of generosity—her grandfather paying for college—opened the door to freedom from her childhood challenges and led her to others who helped her find light. Through writing, music, and faith in a loving higher power, she began “recycling her garbage”—transforming the worst parts of her story into hope for others. Tammy now offers lifelines of hope both to others who experienced similar difficulties and to those who love them, inviting all of us to see people clearly and believe in their worth. In this episode you’ll learn: - How Tammy transformed her challenges into a source of light and hope - Practical ways survivors can begin healing and reconnecting with their true selves - How to support someone through difficulties without fixing, comparing, or questioning their reality - Why your presence, vulnerability, and belief in others can be a life-changing gift More about Tammy: https://www.youtube.com/@TammyRene915 https://www.buildonthelight.com tammy@buildonthelight.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tammy-rene-buildonthelight/ Learn more about your ad choices.
