Dr. Greg Garrett is the author of 30 books of fiction, nonfiction, and spiritual autobiography. He is the Carole McDaniel Hanks Professor of Literature and Culture at Baylor University, and the Canon Theologian at the American Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Paris, France. Greg is a seminary-trained lay preacher in the Episcopal Church who has preached across the United States and Europe, has offered the gathering sermon for the Academy of Homiletics, and has appeared on the national preaching show, Day One. He lives with his wife Jeanie and daughters Lily and Sophia in Austin, Texas, where he is a member of the historically Black St. James Episcopal Church, who taught him to preach justice and reconciliation.
