Fresh off the back of the Fellsman Ultra, Gary and Ben are joined by friend of the podcast Rich Lazenby for a very tired, slightly broken, and heavily sleep-deprived episode.

The lads dive into what makes the Fellsman one of the UK’s most iconic ultra distance trail running events: brutal heat across the Yorkshire Dales, military-level Scout organisation, incredible checkpoint support, navigation decisions, cramp, fatigue, and the unique atmosphere that keeps runners coming back year after year.

There’s also the usual nonsense along the way including empty Spar shelves, missing San Pellegrino and accusations that producer Chris Davies is avoiding the pod because of football results.

Ben also found an old, dishelleved carrot in the back of the fridge that looks (and probably feels) just like Gary right now.
