The prophet Habakkuk cried out to God about violence and injustice in his nation, expecting one kind of answer but receiving something completely different. Easter Sunday marks the most significant event in human history - the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Many of us try to control what we cannot, like pressing elevator buttons that don't actually work. When Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to the tomb, they expected to do something about their fractured world, but God showed up instead. The resurrection requires us to surrender our illusion of control, examine the evidence of Christ's victory over death, and respond with action.
