Episode 100: What 100 Episodes Taught Me

I honestly can’t believe I’m saying this… welcome to Episode 100 of Drive Time With Matt!

When I started this podcast, I had no idea what it would become. What began as a simple idea turned into a journey filled with stories, lessons, laughter, faith, and more than a few unexpected moments.

In this special milestone episode, I’m reflecting on what I’ve learned over the past 100 episodes. From realizing how much my past has shaped me, to seeing how God continues to refine me, to discovering that you’re never too old to try something new, this episode is a look back at the journey so far.

We’ll talk about the importance of community, the people who have supported me along the way, and why I discovered that many of these episodes were actually messages I needed to hear myself.

Oh, and yes… we’ll also discuss the fact that I apparently have enough crazy stories for several more podcasts—though some may never make it on the air!

Thank you for listening, supporting, sharing, and being part of this journey. Here’s to the first 100 episodes and whatever God has planned for the next 100.

If you’ve enjoyed the podcast, I’d be grateful if you’d leave a review and share it with a friend.

    Let’s hit the road.

  • Called, Not Famous Ep. 99
    Jun 4 2026

In a world obsessed with followers, influence, and going viral, it’s easy to believe that significance comes from being known by more people.

But what if that’s not true?

In this episode of Drive Time with Matt, we explore the difference between being famous and being faithful. We talk about the pressure to build a platform, the dangers of tying our identity to attention, and why God’s definition of success often looks very different from the world’s.

From social media culture to personal calling, this conversation is a reminder that your purpose is not determined by how many people know your name, but by how faithfully you live out what God has called you to do.

Whether you’re raising a family, serving in your church, leading at work, or simply trying to make a difference where God has planted you, this episode will encourage you to stop chasing visibility and start embracing significance.

Because you were called to be faithful—not famous.

  • Comparison is Killing Joy Ep.98
    Jun 3 2026

Have you ever been perfectly content with your life… until you started comparing it to someone else’s?

In this episode of Drive Time with Matt, we explore how comparison quietly steals contentment, gratitude, and joy. In a world filled with social media highlight reels, curated success stories, and constant opportunities to measure ourselves against others, it’s easy to feel like we’re falling behind.

But what if the problem isn’t our lives? What if it’s the comparison?

Join Matt as he discusses why comparison is one of the fastest paths to discontentment, how social media fuels the cycle, and why God never intended for us to run someone else’s race. Through personal observations, faith-based insights, and practical encouragement, this episode is a reminder that joy grows when we stop looking sideways and start appreciating the blessings right in front of us.

Because the life God has planned for you doesn’t require comparison—it requires faithfulness.
