Jonathan Hiebert, from Austin, Texas is a multi disciplinary artist who currently channels delight and childlike joy as a garden gnome and flower fairy king. From theater to painting and silversmithing and poetry, Jonathan has transformed across decades with this most current incarnation as interwebs Mystic and Whimsy maker.

Jonathan and I were classmates who grew up in San Marcos, Texas in the 80’s. We recently celebrated our 40 year High School Reunion where we re-introduced ourselves.

2000 people converged on a mountainside in Vermont the third weekend in May. What started out as a small 5K run to raise funds for The Divided Sky Foundation has turned into a music festival called Music on the Mountain.

The day kicks off with a campfire jam on Friday night and ends with an alumni luncheon at Divided Sky on Sunday. Some People formed teams to raise funds for the Divided Sky Foundation. Today we have two members of the About to Run team, Jackie Kelly and Dave Nacmanie. They are going to tell us all about their experience, they have been there for most of the last five runs and they will share how it grew from one small 5K to a huge festival.
