  • Praying the Names of God—Day 7
    Jun 7 2026

Welcome to Day 7 of our Jabez journey! Today, we focus on the power and beauty of praying the names of God.

When I pray the prayer of Jabez, I like to begin with worship—praising God by His many names. Like Jabez, I want to acknowledge the God I’m praying to, just as Jesus taught us, “Hallowed be Thy name.”

The following names for God, are found in scriptures speak of the beauty of his nature. His name is,

    Jehovah-M’Kaddesh (our cleanser and sanctifier),

    Jehovah-rohi (our shepherd),

    Jehovah-rophe (our healer).

These names of God came from real people who experienced his hand of provision, protection, and deliverance in their life stories.

We’re invited to do the same—celebrate the names of God from Scripture, and recognize how he reveals himself personally through our own experiences.

God is not distant; he is personal, present, and intimately involved in every detail of our lives.

    Heavenly Father,

We praise you for your beautiful names—our peace, healer, shepherd, redeemer, cleanser, and friend.

Thank you for being personal and present with us.

As we pray, we invite you into every area of our lives.

Spirit of God, write stories of redemption through us.

Jesus, teach us to pray and to see your hands in our everyday moments.

May the Spirit of the Lord rest on us today—the Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, and the fear of the Lord.

Fill us with extraordinary wisdom, perfect understanding, wise strategy, mighty power, and deep reverence for you.

Thank you for answering when we call and for walking with us every step of the way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • The God Who Is Always There—Day 6
    Jun 6 2026

Welcome to Day 6 of our Jabez journey! Today, we look at the beautiful names of God that Jabez called upon:

    Jehovah-shalom (the Lord is Peace),

    Jehovah-tsidkenu (the Lord our Righteousness),

    Jehovah-shammah (the Lord is There).

Each name reveals God’s heart and His promises to His people and to us. When Israel faced fear and chaos, they found peace and safety in Jehovah-shalom.

When they needed restoration and justice, Jehovah-tsidkenu was their redeemer.

And in times of exile or loneliness or sadness, Jehovah-shammah was their assurance that God’s presence would never leave them.

As we pray today, remember that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, no matter our circumstances.

    Heavenly Father,

We praise You as Jehovah-shalom, our source of true peace. We ask for a Jesus-type calmness over our hearts, and that the storm of fear will settle down.

You are Jehovah-tsidkenu, our righteousness—thank you for restoring and redeeming us and being our guide as our Good Shepherd.

And you are Jehovah-shammah, the God who is always present. Even when we feel alone or uncertain, may we experience a sign and a wonder that reminds us that you are always with us.

Bless us indeed, enlarge our territory, and let your hand be strong upon us today.

Keep us from harm and grant us validation, vindication, and victory.

We trust you to guide us into every promise you have for us.

    In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • The God Who Protects and Provides—Day 5
    Jun 5 2026

Welcome to Day 5 of our Jabez journey! Today, we focus on the One to whom Jabez prayed—the God of Israel.

In Scripture, God is known by many names, each revealing a part of His character and His promises to us.

The compound names of God, beginning with “Jehovah,” remind us of His supremacy and all He has done for His people.

Jehovah-jireh means “the Lord will provide”—the God who sees and meets our needs.

Jehovah-nissi means “the Lord is my banner”—our victory, protection, and rallying point in every battle.

As we pray, we’re not calling out to a distant, uninvolved deity, but to a God who provides, protects, and leads us forward with love and purpose.

    Heavenly Father,

Today, we call on you—the God of Israel, our Jehovah-jireh and Jehovah-nissi. Thank you for being the God who sees, who provides, and who covers us with victory and protection.

Just as you provided for Abraham, Moses, and David, and Esther and Deborah, and gave victory to Israel, we trust you to guide us, meet our needs, heal us, and fight our battles.

Lift us up when we grow weary, and surround us with your faithful presence.

Expand our borders, bless us indeed, and let your hand be with us in all we do.

Keep us from evil and lead us into your purpose and peace.

May Your banner over us be love, and may our lives be a testimony to your goodness and faithfulness.

    In Jesus’ name, Amen.
