Jesus told His disciples of the signs of the end of time. There will be wars or rumors of wars; people's hearts will grow cold; there will be earthquakes. But do not be troubled because these things must pass. There will be false prophets who will deceive many people. After the tribulation, the sun and the moon will become dark. Then, the Son of Man will come on the clouds with power and glory.

Jesus spoke with those He wanted for 40 days about things related to the Kingdom of God. He told them to wait for God's promise because in a few days they would be baptized by the Holy Spirit. Then, they watched as Jesus was lifted up into the clouds toward Heaven. On the day of Pentecost, as they all gathered together, a rushing wind came, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues.

After Jesus revealed Himself to His disciples, Thomas, one of them, did not believe because he had not been there the first time Jesus revealed Himself. When Jesus returned to visit them again, Thomas was there. Jesus told Thomas to reach and look at His hands and put his finger into His side. Thomas told Jesus, "My Lord and my God."
