Some folks still hold the belief that saints walk amongst us today. I recall a man who, in the grip of danger, believed he glimpsed the holy ones. Now, some may scoff at the notion that saints can be seen, but rest assured, there are those who can perceive the unseen. While some cling to the idea that the dearly departed rest forever in their graves, I firmly believe that, through Christ, they live on. As it is written, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).

Consider Moses, who, although he has departed from this world, was seen alongside Jesus and Elijah during the sacred Transfiguration, which is described in the Gospel of St. Matthew (17:1-9). Elijah was taken up to glory in a chariot of fire.

Years ago, in a time of sorrow, as I lay across my bed burdened with thoughts, I had a vision. I beheld what I believed to be saints in the clouds, gazing down upon the earth. In a dream, I witnessed them gathered within two distinct clouds.

Indeed, God is the all-seeing eye, guiding us to behold what He desires us to see.

In the big picture of life, which has both good and bad parts, some people today seem to accept everything as normal. They look at history and say, 'What we see is just how it is.' They believe that lies and evil have always been around, sharing stories that go back to the beginning of human history.

But we are not blind! We stand on the edge, looking into a deep darkness where important warnings are ringing out. The old prophecies are coming true right in front of us—the signs, the symbols, the cries from a world in trouble! Many of us believe we are living in the end times, where the culmination of history is unfolding before our eyes, and the revelation promised in sacred texts is playing out in real-time.

Consider the sadness expressed by King David in Psalm 12, where he calls out to God: 'Help, Lord; for the godly man cease; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.” This cry is still relevant today. The truth seems to be falling apart, with lies and flattery creeping into our hearts like weeds taking over a tree.

In these dark times, where lies wear disguises and those who are wise are called fools, we dare to speak up. What is truth? Is it a bright light guiding us through tough times, or is it just a shadow that changes based on how we see things? Each person might say, 'We've always seen these lies.' But deep down, we know this isn’t the same as before; the situation today is more serious than ever!

As we witness these signs and feel the earth shaking while hearts grow cold, let’s not give in to the idea that everything is normal. We must recognize that we are amidst the end times and join David in asking God to help us escape from this web of lies. Psalm 12 isn’t just a piece of history; it speaks directly to us now, reminding us that while some may think everything is routine, we are witnessing a profound event in a grand narrative unfolding—one that aligns with the prophecies we hold dear.

Revelation and prophecy speak of trials, tribulations, and the ultimate triumph of truth. We see a world in chaos, not just another chapter in an old story, but perhaps the final act of a grand performance. So let’s be alert and pray, for the warnings are louder now than they have ever been, and it’s our job to find the truth amid the noise of deception. May we stay strong in our hearts, and may our cries reach God—Help us, Lord, because lies are everywhere and the faithful are few!

  • Isaiah 9 - Prophecy of a Coming Ruler 8:20:25 2.17 PM

Today I would like to talk about Isaiah nine. In Isaiah nine verse two, it says the people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death upon them have the light shine.

The verse seems to be pointing towards Jesus Christ. He is the light of the world.
Today we hope for a better future, and it seems we are still in a struggle against darkness. There are people that are waiting to be delivered from oppression and war and poverty, among other struggles and hardships.

In verse six and seven, the Bible says for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

Verse seven, of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne, updated upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of host will perform this.

Isaiah 7 is a prophecy of a coming ruler who will bring light, joy, and peace. I’m Gail Nobles. Thank you for listening to Bible Happenings.
