the story was awesome. keeps building to what feels like the end, but the take continues. good characters, nicely paced.

narater is good with voices, but outside of that, the narration is... odd. a bit.. William Shatner. every. word. is. REALLY. emphasised! all. the way. though. the. book.
Usually that would be enough to make me return the book, but to his credit, the narrator did put enough effort into making each character voice just different enough that you knew who was talking almost all the time. that along with the great storytelling let me keep listening and get used to the overly dramatic narration.

good book for anyone who likes urban fantasy which is slightly less dark and gritty, and a bit more... fun. il be listening to the rest, I expect.

I had already read the story and thoroughly enjoyed it so was happy to find this in the Plus catalogue. The only problem that I had really was the fact that the narrator seems to have attended the William Shatner school of acting. Still didn't stop me finding this version good enough to listen to all the way through. Give it a go and see what you think as the story is well worth the effort even though it gets a little cheesy in places.

Okay, the book has reeled me in good and proper. I'm five minutes from the end of this book and have put book 2 into my library already. Can't wait to start it. Nice narration. Excellent story. Well written.
