Summary

I loved this book and enjoyed it far more than the previous one. The author excelled at providing an emotionally layered backstory for Willa and Sawyer. Willa's story is marked by tragedy, with a constant undercurrent of danger. The mystery surrounding the night Willa drowned and her friend disappeared is only partially resolved at the end of this instalment, but it left me excited to pick up the next book in the series.
The narration is again excellent, with both narrators capturing the characters' vulnerability and the suspense that builds as the story progresses.
