This was a right book at the right time situation for me and I loved it.

Evie is a relatable and nerdy witch trying to remove a hex from werewolf Mateo so he is able to shift again. Mateo’s Wolf, Alpha, reminded me of Venom and made me laugh - he was pure entertainment.

I loved meeting Evie’s sisters and also some of their love interests. I enjoyed it so much that I’m off to immediately start book 2.

First things first - this was performed brilliantly! I listen to tonnes of audiobooks by different authors but the narrators in this really fit the characters and the context with suitable tones and humour really well.

The book itself was a very easy read. It flowed perfectly. I didn’t guess who did the spell until the end although I thought I had guessed right early on. The banter between Mateo & Alpha was fantastic - made me laugh. Very, very well written.

This book was giving the same vibe as The Originals and Charmed, with magic sisters and lots of romance in a modern setting. Throw in a handsome werewolf with a inner dialogue, set in New Orleans, it got everything for a fun, sweet and romantic story. Not overly complicated storyline, but there were a lot of characters to Keep up with and the magic workings was sometimes confusing. Narrators was awesome, and female narrator did a really good job with playing several people. Aiden Snow as Alpha was just meant to be 😍
Spice was a slow burn, and all the better for it! 🌶️🌶️🌶️
I really hope the rest of the series is as good ❤️
