What use is a dragon rider who can't fly?

That’s the brutal reality Aeden Harrington faces after bonding with a dragon that should never have hatched, a consecrated egg, hidden, marked as dead and untouchable. Worse still, he formed the forbidden bond before Aviara Academy’s official ceremony, shattering ancient tradition and painting a target on his back before he even sets foot in the sky.

Starting as the Academy’s newest Initiate was supposed to be a chance to rise above his past. To master the Weave. To prove himself. But Nyra, the dragon fate chose for him, bears wings too broken to ever fly, a flaw that stains Aeden’s reputation and makes him a target among students and masters alike.

As he battles distrust and isolation, Aeden uncovers darker secrets hidden within Aviara’s hallowed halls, whispers of his parents’ deaths and the cover-up that followed. And when two unknown riders arrive, wielding authority and power that even the Academy fears, surviving the deadly trials ahead becomes more than a matter of honor.

It becomes a fight for his life and for the truth.

In a world where flight means power, what chance does a grounded rider have against enemies who rule the skies?

Perfect for fans of Eragon, Ascendant, and Of Blood and Fire, Wing Weaver delivers a fast-paced, dragon-rider academy fantasy where survival depends on more than just flight.

I have been reading/listening to A.P Beswicks books since i saw his first levanthria book released and when i got the chance to ARC read his new book i couldn't miss it.

As a massive fan of eragon when I was younger, this book has filled that gap for me now as an adult.

This is a fantastic story with great characters and an amazing plot filled with dragons, mystery and battles who could ask for more.

I cannot wait to read and listen to the next book in the series.

Another great book from A.P Beswick

This story had me hooked from the first chapter and the narrators style really brought the story and the characters to life in a way I never expected! I will be recommending it to everyone I can! Just stunning 🙌🏻

I read/listen to a lot of fantasy books but I tend to like mine with a dash or great big dollop of romance so typically favour female authors, this is the first time I've been tempted by a straight out fantasy book and by a male author in quite a while, I kept seeing posts popping up on Facebook and they caught my attention, A UK, indie author that comes across well and has written about a dragon that can't fly - I got too curious not to give it a go.

Any way on to my thoughts about the book, for me it definitely has Harry Potter x Fourth Wing vibes, and overall I really enjoyed it, being the first book in the series some parts felt a little slow or long winded maybe but it's an introduction to a new world and story so understandable, others parts had me engrossed and nearly a little teary at times, I like the fact that Nyra is different, how that is explored but also that that is not the be all and end all of the story, there are much bigger plots to come and I'm very much looking forward to finding out what happens next, it could even become quite epic, my absolute favourite part of the book and my favourite character is Lyric 💗

also an enjoyable narrator to listen to and hats off for all the accents and voices for the different characters,

Really enjoyable
