Excellent book, very well narrated. It is such a relief to have Ms Sayer's finest works read by a decent reader, the previous reader (Jane McDowell) was absolutely dreadful, she read these books like they were P G Wodehouse, not some rather dark, socially aware tales of murder and deceit. I do love Wodehouse but Peter Wimsey is a million miles from Bertie Wooster, he's a damaged veteran of WW1, suffers from PTSD, and is not a social gad-fly in any way.

Hope you do the rest of the novels with the same narrator, Mr Bathurst is excellent.

I love the Dorothy L. Sayers series of books featuring Lord Peter Wimsey, but have been waiting patiently for the right narrator. Can't wait for the full series to come out, now on to book 2!

I've been a fan of DLS and Lord Peter since the 80s and have been waiting for an audiobook version of her Wimsey books for so long. These new (?) recordings by Robert Bathurst are simply wonderful and fully meet all my expectations. I'm keeping everything crossed that there are plans to record the whole series. Please make this happen Audible!

Read by a great actor too who does a range of accents. Made me laugh out loud at times due to the quirky characters.
