By the end of this book, I was loving the characters and their twist and turns. I hope there will be a sequel. Refreshing to also have strong female women in their 30s and the story not revolve around children.

Hooking characters and I didn't want it to end

I have binged most of Mhairis books I’m just 1 week.
I can’t get enough. They’re great and make your heart soar with happiness for the characters.

It has perfect plot and the characters aren’t annoying or do stupid things for a plot twist which I found to be quite satisfying.

I would recommend all of these books!

I am glad this is not the first book I’ve read by Mhairi. If it was, it would have been the last.
I thought that after “If I never met you” Mhairi could do no wrong. Anything would be forgiven for that and the performance on it.
So I need to say that there’s lots to like about this book. Some very real and likeable characters.
It seems contradictory to say it was dragged out and then ended abruptly - it may have seemed clever but left me cold and almost wiped away all the good feeling I’d built up through the book. Like someone chucked water all over me.

Dragged out and ending dissatisfying.
