About this listen

When Dödz Bringare, a professional killer of the undead, is arrested for public disorder, he finds himself press-ganged into searching for a nobleman's dead wife.

Beset by venomous cultists, blood-drenched zombies, and the forces of the Blood Countess herself, Dödz must muster all of his strength and willpower just to survive. All the while, the whispers of the dead saint swirl around him, threatening to bring all to misery.

The first novella set in the Dying Lands of Mörk Borg. Whispers of the Dead Saint is an independent production by Madness Heart Games and is not affiliated with Ockult Örtmästare Games or Stockholm Kartell. It is published under the Mörk Borg Third Party License. Mörk Borg is copyright Ockult Örtmästare Games and Stockholm Kartell.

love the story and the characters. even through it is a rather short story it manages to show the reader/listener a good amount of things from the dying lands. the only things I don't like was sometimes the music in-between the currently and next chapter was a bit too long or sometimes too loud.
otherwise the narrator did a great job.

the dark story fits very well to Mörg Borg.

I don't want to blame the narrator, the audio balancing is just terrible. Some characters always shout (while others are almost whispering) but the narration is calm and low. Either you raise the volume to be able to hear the narration and get periodically ear-blasted, or you turn it down and become unable to hear the narration/some characters. The chapters are also portended by shouting-volume abrasive sounds (not music). Unless you're prepared to keep your fingers on the volume buttons at all times, I can't recommend this audiobook.

The story itself was unsatisfying, even as a fan of the Mork Borg setting. The setting, where, every day, another foundation of the world is corrupted irreversibly or falls apart catastrophically, was not properly conveyed. Days seem to pass as usual. This story could have been set in any grim dark setting. That being said, I did enjoy the vivid descriptions of some scenes/events.

Can't recommend, unless you're a Mork Borg fanatic
