Elodie has returned to her hometown to open a bakery and is determined to handle the mistakes from her past on her own despite the toll it is taking on her. She may be attracted to Cruz and appreciate his attempt to flirt with her but she will never tell him that as she isn’t about to let any man into her life.

Cruz has a difficult past of his own which has left him with some insecurities. He has had feeling for Elodie for a while however all his attempts to get close to her are rebuffed until he shows her that he wants her for much than a good time and that she can trust him with her heart and her past.

Elodie’s past has taught her to be cautious however Cruz is both patient and supportive as he shows her with actions rather than words that he is the man she didn’t know she wanted in her life. Tim Paige was the perfect choice for Cruz as he brings out both the sweet and swoony sides of Cruz while Kelsey Navarro Foster brings out all the emotions that Elodie is experiencing and the depth of her character.

This one was so needed after the last book in this series and witnessing Cruz long for Elodie while she kept distance between them. That carries into this book, and we learn the why's of her barriers and come to sympathize with her. We learn about Cruz's past, which will absolutely break your heart, and come to appreciate the man he has become all the more. These two compliment each other so well and are so darn cute together.

The suspense storyline that takes place in this one will have you on the edge of your seat. I really enjoyed how it was handled, and especially how it was rectified. It was an interesting twist of taking something negative and utilizing it for something good. This series has been so good so far, and I look forward to what comes next!

I listened to this one on audiobook and really enjoyed it. Both narrators did a great job and for these characters really well. They did really well in making sure emotions were expressed just right to make this book all the more empactful. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed listening to this book.
The second book in this series and Cruz and Elodie's romance.
Cruz Foster did not have a good upbringing and it is quite heartbreaking when he reveals what he went through.But he has come so far and made a life for himself,the only problem is the woman he is obsessed with doesn't seem interested in him.
He couldn't be more wrong.
Elodie Palmer had been away for a while, now she is back and settled,she owns her own bakery "Dee's Sweets"..she seems quiet,sweet,shy and unapproachable.
But Elodie has a rebellious side and a dark past she wants to keep secret..But that past won't stay hidden and is threatening to ruin her life.
Cruz is patient and is determined to get to know Elodie and it works,they get together and it is passionate and spicy.
They are really good together and they are romantic and steamy..But Elodie has secrets and those secrets refuse to stay hidden.
The question is will Cruz still want her when he discovers what she did.
I loved Cruz he is a reformed bad boy and the childhood he endured has scarred him,but he has made something of his life.He is caring,loyal and honest with Elodie about his past,I loved the way he wants to protect Elodie.
Elodie is furiously independent and stubborn so much so that it could be her downfall,she refuses help and works herself into the ground.The weight of her past is a heavy burden and it was a relief when she started throwing breadcrumbs of her past to Cruz.
Narration is wonderful by Kelsey Navarro Foster and Tim Paige they do a Fabulous job at portraying Elodie and Cruz..They expressed all the emotions perfectly and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to them tell this story.
This is a great edition to this series and it was a pleasure to listen to.
Brilliant.

Emotional, entertaining, and had me hooked from the start!

Whiskey Flirt is about the town’s resident baker and owner of the local bakery, Elodie, and cowboy and distiller, Cruz. Cruz is attracted to Elodie and has been trying to get her attention for some time now. But, Elodie has refused to engage and refuses his advances, believing him to be just a flirt. Not to mention, due to her complicated history, she is not really trusting of men at the moment. The sweet man that Cruz is, is determined to win her heart, and goes about it in such sweet and caring ways.

Ah… what can I say about this book, other than it was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I loved these two together, they were just perfect for each other! This story had so much going for it, the perfect balance of real emotion, longing, and complexities. All while still delivering on banter, humour and entertainment…and honestly, soo much more. I loved seeing everything unfold on the page. My favourite part was seeing these two - both with complicated pasts - open up to each other, letting each other in, and helping overcome their pasts and hardships. Plus all that tension and chemistry had me kicking my feet! 💕

Wanting to dive into a new small-town, friends-to-lovers, he fall first, slow burn type romance, all while serving actual real deep emotions? Then look no further, because Whiskey Flirt has got you covered!

Narrated by Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro Foster. They were both excellent, and complemented each other really well! They took this story to different heights, and I most definitely, and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Whiskey Flirt is book two in the Foster House series. This is my first Walker Rose book. I really enjoyed it. I will be checking out more books by this author. Elodie has moved back and starts a bakery. She has a past and secrets that she is keeping. I love Elodie and Cruz's connection. They have great banter. The tension is sweltering. I loved this book.

Kelsey Navarro Foster and Tim Paige did a fantastic job narrating this book.
