I Loved both Camden and Juliana so much! These two have been pining for one another for years! They were truly perfect for each other! They had so much tension and banter! I also really enjoyed the flashbacks to their childhood to see how their relationship unfolded throughout the years! It was woven into the story so perfectly!

After listening to and loving the first book in Willow Aster’s amazing new “Windy Harbor” series, Goldie Whitman and Milo Lombardi’s story, I was looking forward to my second visit, Camden Whitman and Juliana “Juju” Fair’s story. Each book in the series stands on its own, but it is beneficial to enjoy the books in order written because characters appear in each other’s stories, and knowing them not only adds depth, but seeing them again is like seeing an old friend. This story not only grabbed my attention right from the start, but it grabbed my heartstrings too. The scene where Juju and Camden first meet, when they were kids, just warmed my heart. Back then, Camden was glad she had a brother his age, and they too became good friends, and in that friendship they agreed sisters were off limits. That pact may have cost him his friendship with Juju, or maybe it was the things he did or said over the years. They were apart for years until Camden moved back to Windy Harbor and opened a restaurant there. Growing up, the two shared a love for food, his making dishes, hers baking and that's why she owns and runs The Kitty-Corner Cafe. It was great watching these two interact, getting past her animosity towards him and his past behavior. Everyone around them could see the chemistry between them, except for themselves, who were in denial of how they really felt about each other, and there was one obstacle he needed to get past, her brother. This is a fabulous small-town, brother’s best friend, enemies-to-lovers romance, a slow burn but so worth the wait romance. I loved all the layers of the story, and how it all played out, with the perfect balance of drama, angst, charming and heartwarming moments, humor, heartfelt emotions, and the years in the making romance. Also loved the glimpses into the past and the family group chats. Willow Aster, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride. It is always a pleasure to spend time in the amazing worlds you create, escapism at its finest.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous audiobook listen performed by Rose Dioro and Sebastian York, who did an incredible job voicing the characters. I loved how they took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. Dioro was a natural as Juju, grasping every aspect of her personality, her confidence, sass and wit, and York did the same as Camden and was just as amazing in the role. They were fantastic at performing the roles of the side/secondary characters too, old and young. You could hear who much heart they put into their performance as they expressed and conveyed all the characters’ emotions, making you feel each one. It is a pleasure to listen to these entertaining storytellers, and their captivating performance keeps you glued to the story.

This is the second book in the Windy Harbor series, a small town romance. Wow—I loved it! Camden and Juliana (Juju)’s story is beautifully written, heartfelt, and heartwarming. They are both amazing characters. I liked the banter, the tension, and the romance. The back and forth between past and present is well done and captivating. Their journey is emotional and heartwarming. The supporting cast adds so much warmth to the story. This is a beautiful friends to lovers romance—emotionally satisfying, full of warmth, and deeply moving. Rose Dioro and Sebastian York did an outstanding job bringing the characters and their story to life, making the listening experience even more engaging. I genuinely love this series and the entire cast.

This was such a fun banter filled second chance/brother’s best friend/best friend’s brother/friends to lovers and I just absolutely adored their story.
It was filled with friendship, caring, hurt & heartbreak, sass & snark. I loved the dual timeline so we could see how close they were and why they grew apart.
This was a fun, sweet, emotional romance and it hit me in my feels.
I can’t wait for the next story, I adore this entire family.
I also love The Grandmas, as well as Pops & his twin brother.
