An enjoyable, fast-paced romantasy that has me wanting to know what happens next. Whilst it uses classic tropes (e.g. trials, enemies to lovers) it felt fresh and unique enough to keep me listening. The duet performance was very well done too.

I know this is a new genre for this Author, but I already love her other books so I knew it would be good. What I didn’t know was that her imagination and her storytelling could keep me so enthralled from the first page to the last. It not only made me shocked, but it also made me cry. The emotion in this book takes you on such a rollercoaster of a ride.
You are never sure what will happen next. I was so hoping that some of the deaths might be reversed, but at the same time it adds to the shock value of the story. The narration was absolutely superb. I don’t quite know what to do with myself after finishing this book. I don’t think I can sleep my mind and my heart don’t quite know how to wait for the next book.

The narration of this was fantastic. The world building wow and the trials, yes yes yes!

All of the characters in this book definitely made this story next level not just the fmc and mmc.

This is a well narrated, dual pov, duet narrated audiobook.👏🎧

This took me quite a while to settle into. I enjoyed the free prequel, so I thought I'd fall into the book more easily.🤷🏻‍♀️ At around 60%, I finally sank into it.🙌

I didn't like that so many of the found family were lost, my heart hurt.💔 I loathed Jonas. He was a cross between Dain and Tamlin.🫣Controlling, needy, and blackmail-y!👀

Her sister turns out to be anoyingly foolish.🙄 I had a feeling and was proved right, sadly. I feel like Kay and Jonas would be better off together.😉

I loved Kyor. He's been through a lot, they both have, yet they are so strong together. I'm ready for book 2.😍💘
