Book is great narration is a mixed bag. Highly recommend the book and the other guild codex books. Have a look at the authors website and read them in her recommended reading order it’s a much better read experience.

The narrator for this book, and presumably future series, though is not the best. He reads Kit the main character, brilliantly and really portrays the young funny guy who’s figuring himself and the mythical world out as he goes. But his narration of any female character (which there’s a lot) is awful, think wicked witch of the west from the wizard of Oz and that’s basically how every female sounds in this book. Nevertheless this is a good book and I really enjoyed it

Read the book some time ago. Absolutely loved the audio version. Took me a little time to get used to the narrator but after a chapter really enjoyed the way he put the different characters over.

Love the story, the main character is super funny and the narrator really brings it to live. The magical lore is original and easy to follow and the story hold us to the end. No creepy scenes
