The reader is good and very clear with excellent light and shade in his voice. The book is amusing and very descriptive as are all the Herriot books. A good listen.

Despite being written in 1974 it feels modern and relevant and with the bonus of being read by the brilliant Christopher Timothy - this is a must listen for a rainy Sunday afternoon!
