About this listen

Trisha’s bestselling Christmas book will have you hooked from start to finish – the perfect read as those cold winter nights draw in.

Christmas has always been a sad time for young widow Holly Brown. So when she's asked to look after a remote house on the Lancashire moors, the opportunity to hide herself away is irresistible – the perfect excuse to forget about the festivities.

The owner of the house, Jude Martland, is also avoiding Christmas since the last one saw his brother run off with his fiancee. But forced to return home unexpectedly, Jude arrives to find that his family are running amok – with Holly seemingly at the centre of it all.

As the blizzards descend, there is no escape. With nowhere to go, Holly and Jude get much more than they bargained for – and a Christmas they will always remember!

I have read this book mamy times and have lomg awaited it on audible. Fantastic listen but the pronunciation of Noel's name wasn't correct and this let it down - otherwise a great purchase

So delighted to have my favourite Christmas book on Audible. Even though I’ve read it many times, it’s lovely to hear someone else read it. The narrator was great too.

A lovely vintage Trisha Ashley expertly read and with as many twists and turns as one of her character Jude's metal horse sculptures. We follow Holly as she takes a journey into an unknown family past which has surprising connections to herself in the present. Merlin the dog and Lady the horse provide some much needed, endearing, animal moments.
