About this listen

A twisty commercial suspense story of deception, manipulation, centred around female friendships.

THE FIRST RULE OF BOOK CLUB: PROTECT THE SISTERHOOD. THE SECOND RULE OF BOOK CLUB: NO HUSBANDS. OH, AND THE THIRD RULE OF BOOK CLUB: NO MURDERS.

Welcome to Book Club! Emma has it all. Jules knows it all. Rosa's seen it all. Marianne's done it all. Lucy watches it all. And Lydia wants it. All..

The wine flows as freely as the secrets, but this is Book Club and Book Club has its rules. But someone is breaking them. And someone is letting her. She wants your life (And your books recs) and she'll do anything to get it.

When Emma gets arrested at Book Club, it leaves everyone around her reeling. The women scramble to protect their friend and restore the peace, and Lydia will do anything it takes. But someone is outmatching and out-scheming at every turn. It's those bloody women from Book Club!

This was brilliant from start to finish. I couldn’t wait to hear what happened next. The writing was sharp, clever, and full of suspense, and the narrators were some of the best I’ve listened to in years. Every character came alive in a way that made the whole thing feel wickedly relatable.

And let’s be honest… at one point or another, we women have all dipped a toe into our slightly manipulative, borderline-psychopath era, just maybe not quite to this extent. Or at least, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. 😉

Wickedly Addictive and Relatable… Worryingly So!

Twisty and turny but ultimately predictable. Easy to listen to - and I really liked Emma's sister Jules! Also the older slightly comic character of Marian.

The fluency of the performance.

I wasn’t at all sure about this in the early chapters. It became a great story though and I found it compelling. Unfortunately, the ending was rather rushed and let it down. The narration is excellent.

Really enjoyable

I didn’t think this was gonna be for me but after reading the positive reviews I definitely fancied listening to it. I loved it. I enjoyed it from beginning to end and in places I found it infuriating because of the character Lydia, the husband & even the children lol made me mad. I was fascinated to see what would happen next. Loved all the twists.

I Was Gripped
