Scarlet has finally started to acclimate to her new situation as a half blood lycan and Guardian. She's joined an Association run by the man who raised her, has participated in several Fractures fighting against the demons, and is now finally attaining her goal of joining a University.

But unlike what she originally planned, this university is a Guardian's University. And their students are all Guardians who spend half of their time fighting the demons and the other half learning how to fight them rather than studying the usual topics.

How will she adapt to this new environment? And what's the deal with her heritage?

Will she survive the year full of Demonic Assaults? Win the ranking tournaments?

Join her to find out.

This is such a well-thought-out title. The story is unfolding at a steady but not rushed pace. I think the best part is the depth of the characters that you can feel have much to offer. I certainly hope they will release the whole series as na audiobook, because those narrators are really bringing it to life!

complex story and great narrators!

It may even be better, the battles are entertaining and they aren’t milked for word count. It also doesn’t really lose pace even in the middle of a tournament arc, as there are other things to think about whilst reading about placements. The author seems to understand that you can have several story-beats going on at once so long as you don’t overcomplicate them. I can see how people see this kind of book as predictable but that is also the charm in reading this kind of literature. It’s not challenging your expectations but reveling in the excitement of telling us parts of a larger mystery while hanging out with a lone wolf and a raccoon.

Not to mention I also like the dual voice acting and I was both smiling and laughing at several places where I might not have if I had simply read this book. Huge props. Waiting for the next one and hoping that the mystery gets to be really good.

Just as good as the first one

The exp notifications need to go! 99% of them are meaningless since they don't even give any exp but are still listed for minutes!

They could easily have been aggregated into a simple short list of of creatures defeated: lvl 40 x 20, lvl 50 x 12, lvl 65 x 5 and "relevant unique monster name" lvl 100

The audio level issues are still not fixed

Apart from that, the biggest issue I have is how the author seems to forget massive plot relevations and immediate actions the MC decides to take. Just to do a several month time jump and never addressing these topics again as if they never happened.

Connected to that, the MC and everyone around her is acting like 0 IQ when it comes to connecting the most obvious plot points in any story, creating a slew of cascading plot holes every time they are ignored and forgotten by everyone.

MC is also being nerfed in every fight to artificially try to make the tournament fights interesting. Better to not make MC too op too fast if artificially nerfing them is required

The story keeps falling apart the further the story progresses and by the end it is almost unbearable

Good story, but the exp notifications need to go
