Summary

One summer morning, three little girls meet for the first time. By the end of the day, two will be charged with murder. Twenty-five years later, journalist Kirsty Lindsay is reporting on a series of sickening attacks on young female tourists in a seaside town when her investigation leads her to interview funfair cleaner Amber Gordon. For Kirsty and Amber, it's the first time they've seen each other since that dark day when they were just children. But with new lives - and families - to protect, will they really be able to keep their wicked secret hidden?

This is my first book by Alex Marwood it will not be my last. I was hooked from the beginning and the added bonus was brilliant narration by Anna Bentinck.

enjoyed this book and although I feel drifting back and forth in books can be confusing I liked the past and current tense elements within this story, a haunting and gripping listen

I've never listened to a book that had such menace, and dark despair flowing all the way through it. It was like a BBC drama, "Boy A" with Andrew Garlfield.

You know that some girls did something when they were younger, each consecutive chapter drops more hints; ratcheting up the suspense. Meanwhile, present day in a seaside town, someone is murdering young girls - are the two crimes related?
