About this listen

The Bible tells a story. The events of the Bible are exciting and awe inspiring, but often the story can get lost among the laws, genealogies, and poetry. Here, Dr. William Marty retells the entire story of the Bible in one accessible, chronological account. All the stories you remember, and many of those you don't, are part of one grand narrative. It's the must-listen story of God's pursuit of you - one you'll want to hear again and again.

Would recommend listening to give a large overview of the whole bible in a short amount of time. The book isn't intended for studying the individual books of the bible but rather to let you stand back and take a broad look at the whole bible.

There are words that are used incorrectly.
An example of this would be the 6 days of creation in Genesis.
The word used for "after the creation" was "Perfect" instead of "Good". While it is perfect, it's foremost good in the sight of the Creator.

While it can be said that this can be a summary of the story of the Bible, IT IS INCOMPLETE without using the right words.

Just read your NKJV bible

Narration was good.
In no way was this a complete bible story. There were points in the book that made me wonder what the writer was up to, and if he had some sort of agenda. That jarred with me. There was so much left out as well. To be fair at the start it says some books have been omitted. However, this book is the writer's interpretation and not to be taken seriously.

Glad it was free....
