Summary
Despite the danger in doing so, Travis’s family helps escaped slaves find freedom in the North. While his father is away, one of their neighbors comes to inform them that he’s searching for a missing slave. He suspects Travis’s family may be helping the slaves escape, but hasn’t found a way to prove it. Will Travis and his family be able to shake off the neighbor’s suspicions and avoid trouble?
