It was good the storey got me intrigued and I like Norse gods and their tails all together it was gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood I love every single thing in this book my favourite character is gandelf and the draga. For the most part I enjoyed this YA novel, though the plot felt a little contrived at times and the teen angst could be a little annoying (it’s a very long time since I was a teenager though!) I really enjoyed the Norse mythology and the creepiness of the occurrences in and around the cabin. I am invested enough in the story and characters to read book 2.

The book itself has a feel of a Cecelia Ahern novel, read eloquently and easy to listen to. Straight to the story, with not too many frills, it’s story line, dipping into Norse mythology, enthrals and excites!

Twilight meets nordic noir. Enough Norwegian paganism to keep teens entertained but no real emotional depth to frighten them. The narrator however cannot do a convincing Norwegian accent so all the Norwegians sound like they come from Kilkenny..

This book had me captivated from beginning to end. Loved visualising the story as it unfolded. If you enjoy mythical fiction, then this will be up your street. I would recommend this book
