When Beth, Megan, and Joanne meet at university, they become inseparable friends who’d do anything for one another - even agreeing to keep what happens one shocking night a secret. Now in their 40s and outwardly successful, each of the three has dealt with what happened in their own way. But secrets and lies leave their mark.
When Megan decides to tell her fiancé the truth about that night, it threatens to ruin the lives of everyone around her. But someone is prepared to do anything to stop that from happening....

I’m making my way through her books and thoroughly enjoying them. They’re easy to follow and easy to understand, but tackle the plot from a unique and surprising perspective. I find myself sympathising, even liking the criminal, and her characters stay in my mind long after the book is finished. I maybe didn’t like or sympathise with the characters in this book quite as much, but could empathise with where they were coming from as they each made huge mistakes. I just didn’t like the way the event in the first chapter hung around in my mind throughout the story, making it all rather melancholic. 5*for being well written as always, but a star removed for the despondency.
