Life ends, but the impact goes beyond your life.

You can affect others long after managing and leading them.

The life experiences you have had that impacted, shaped, and honed you into the person you are today affect how you lead and manage your team, whether your team enjoys working with you, and whether you will become a thought leader. The process of making you who you are and the ever evolving you as a project manager and leader are one in the same; we don’t behave in a vacuum at home and in community and then conduct a different kind of business at work. Our job is to unify and leverage these important, ubiquitous lessons, starting with:

Nothing remains the same. The shoreline is always changing.

I'm so grateful that Bob has shared his experience in this book. Having worked closely with him as an architect, I can truly attest to his ability to be creative, humble, professional and most of all human in all aspects of his life. His ability to build trust in people both in work and in life has always stuck with me. As my career has taken me to Europe, the UK, Middle East and Nordics, I still hold what I learned working with Bob as pure magic. I hope others will find the same inspiration in his story and will use it to become better versions of themselves as his influence has inspired me to be. This is a must read, not only for Architectcs or managers, but anyone looking for advice about how to use all of life's experiences as a lesson to be learned from.

Bob sets the standard for what it means to manage.
