Hampshire, 1940. Ellie Simpson is attached to an Air Transport Auxiliary base in Hampshire.

Life as an ATA pilot is tough, but despite the long hours and danger, Ellie can think of nowhere she'd rather be. Not only does she love flying, but doing important war work, alongside new-found friends, provides a welcome distraction from worrying about loved ones fighting on the front line. Being an ATA girl is definitely exciting but, as Ellie soon finds out, wearing the distinctive blue uniform also means putting her life on the line every time she takes to the skies. It is a great listen and totally loved this as much as the first book in series. I look forward to the next book. Great if you enjoy 2nd world war era stories.

I really enjoyed the story line of this book as good as book 1. Which you must listen to before this. Such sad times has to be endured in WW2. The ATA men and women were true hero’s

The only criticism I would make is Jacks voice when it kept changing to full blow. American. Other than than tat it was good. The plummy voices were great.

a continuation of the previous book...one more to go..I have loved this whole seriès....reliving the Battle of Britain and the part the female pilots played in it was so realistic...well done to both the author and the narrator
