Summary

This was absolutely fantastic and I was hooked right from the beginning! The narrator was absolutely incredible and I found myself immersed in the story. Alys did a fantastic job of bringing this book to life!
The world building was incredible! An action packed fantasy and I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

I have read this book physically and when offered to listen to the audio book from the author for an honest review, I could not say no.
The narrator has brought the characters that I love to life. She does such an amazing job of all the characters voices. As I already loved this story but now after listening to this, I adore this series. I would buy the second audio book when available.
Highly recommend this.

Wow, just wow. This story was absolutely enthralling, and the narrator was absolutely outstanding! I found myself sacking off my adult responsibilities in favour of listening to this, and that was quite alright by me.
The personal journey Halja goes on in this book is beautifully written, heartbreaking and poignant.
If you love action packed, gut wrenching fantasy, with gorgeous world building, high stakes religious fanaticism and longing like you wouldn’t believe, this is for you ❤️
