Magdeline O'Neil was one of the very first tenants of 1195 Bushwick Avenue, Brooklyn, New York—an apartment block built sixty years ago in 1905. She was also the very first person to have died inside this wretched building.
She was only twenty years old, and her death was not from natural causes.
For the next six decades, she has haunted the apartment her spirit is unable to leave. The only sounds she can hear are the maddened wails of others who have been murdered within the building.
The only way to keep her soul sane is by creating stories, watching from the window as the world changes without her. That is where she first laid eyes on the latest tenant to 5c.
As a bond grows between them via unlikely means, she soon fears that he will be the building’s next victim.
The Silent Type
Death was only the beginning of her story.

C.G. Frances uses her delightful Irish brogue to deliver Magdeline's story with a passion. Her use of a voice modulator for the male characters was a little distracting but I think that's just me as it's the first time I've heard it used in the 730 audiobooks I've listened to so far on Audible. The sound quality is good and the cadence is perfect (absolutely no need to speed it up which is so rare in my opinion).
