I found this story compelling and intreguing, if a little confusing (that might just be my brain however). Certainly quite gripping and compelling though, largely due to the way the narrator emotionalises her voice and drew me in. A really great narration performance and, in my oppininion, worth listening for that in it'self.

I just finished listening to The Signal: A Conspiratorium Novel as an audiobook, and it gripped me from the very first chapter with its eerie atmosphere and relentless pacing. What I liked most was how the story picks up Juno Voss's journey seamlessly from the previous book, turning her personal obsession with dead frequencies into something far more dangerous and intimate when she hears her own voice on a recording she never made. The revelation that her sister might still be alive—or trapped—added such raw emotional stakes that kept me emotionally invested throughout every twist. I was particularly impressed by the way the author builds the Vault from a shadowy rumor into a tangible, bleeding force that invades reality, making the conspiracy feel alive and unstoppable. The concept of the Signal evolving from something to be heard into something that demands to be remembered gave me chills, especially as cities start collapsing under mysterious broadcasts that weaponize memories.

I love the idea that there are messages hidden in the static of old radios that only a few people can hear. This book takes that idea and turns it into a very tense and exciting mystery that never lets up. It feels like a very modern thriller even though it deals with older technology like tapes and frequencies. The sense of mystery is very strong, and the payoff at the end is definitely worth the wait.
