Personal trainer Rebecca McCall is furious when her coworker is sidelined and she's forced to teach the “Be Your Best Bride” class. As if being a size two for your wedding photos is all for which exercise is good. Could the whole thing get more vain and sexist?

The class is full of preening, giggling bridezillas, but one woman stands out: the one who confesses she's only there because her fiancée signed her up. Who does that to someone about whom they care? And why can't Rebecca take her eyes off her?

Spencer Thompson is a second-guesser. After making the worst mistake of her life, she's happy to abdicate responsibility and let other people make her decisions for her. She's always felt a little bit too soft, a little bit too curvy in all the wrong places. Her fiancée apparently agrees because she signed Spencer up for a class at the gym.

Terrified by the online profile of the instructor, the epitome of zero body fat, Spencer is relieved to find someone new, and realistic-looking, leading the class. Except the instructor seems to hate her, and Spencer has no idea why.

When a perfectly innocent post-workout smoothie leads to an earth-shattering kiss, Rebecca wonders if she's been wrong all along, and Spencer is challenged to make another decision that could change her life forever.

The story was great but the narrators pitch is too high and pace too fast to grasp what’s going on. Sorry

The story was a little drawn out , the narrator was awesome and very believable, good pace and gentle on the ear, and great voices.
I really enjoyed it , I would of hoped to hear more about the development of their relationship and how it grew into an equal partnership.

Really enjoyed this book

When I read the synopsis for this book I expected to really dislike the fiance, like Spencer and raise an eyebrow at Rebecca's initial behaviour. I was correct in that assumption. However, as the book progressed I really started to get irritated with Spencer's character; the dithering, wishy-washy attitude was fast becoming annoying and I started to see both the other characters more favourably. By the end of the book I somewhat respected Marty for the way she handled things, became more understanding of Rebecca's point of view but it left me with an eyebrow raise at Spencer. As I said, this story is a weird one. I have many other books by this author and have enjoyed them for the most part but this one isn't on my list of favourites purely because of Spencer's attitude.

I did however like the side characters in this book, Nick, Zoe and Lucy especially. If you don't mind a wishy-washy mindset then you will probably like this book. The narrator is excellent as always.
