The way the author wove personal stories with useful tools felt genuine and achievable. I loved that the tips around body acceptance were free of judgement and full of warmth — more like a heartfelt chat than a lecture. The daily practices were simple enough to stick with, yet powerful enough to make a real impact. The tone was light and engaging, yet emotionally grounded, so the advice landed without ever feeling heavy-handed or overwhelming.
I found myself pausing at times just to take in a thought or scribble a note. The parts about quieting that critical inner voice really struck a chord. The encouragement to meet yourself with kindness — especially on messy days — is something I’ll carry forward for a long time.
By the end, I felt lighter, more hopeful, and oddly energised to start treating myself with the same patience and compassion I’d show a close friend. It’s rare to find something that makes you laugh, makes you think, and actually shifts the way you speak to yourself — but this book did exactly that.
