The Risk of Falling is a stand alone story, though the last couple minutes of the epilogue set up for what I assume is the next book. I liked how the action and suspense were incorporated into a story with an independent heroine. The book was very heavy on the steamy scenes.

I can say enough great things about the narration. Sarah Puckett has an amazing ability to convey a character’s emotion when they get into a into a tight spot. Gideon Frost was a great match for Micah’s point of view. I’m sure that I enjoyed the story more because I listened to it.

Sienna has plans for her future and they include finishing college so that she can give her teenage sister Ellie the life that she deserves. Until she gets her degree she works as a dance at an adult club and she is determined to not repeat the mistakes of her mother and isn’t about to be distracted by any man and that includes Micah.

Micah has never been interested in any of the dancers at the club that his family owns but the moment he sees Sienna that changes. He knows that they are meant to be together, and he is determined to show her she can trust him with her heart and her life.

Sienna has a difficult past where every step forward is thwarted by the one person who should have been there for her which makes her cautious when it comes to Michah however with everything thing he says and does he breaks through her walls and shows her what they could have together. The narrators brought out the passionate protector in Micah as well as the sass and strength of Sienna. 🎧 Pink Flamingo Productions

Micah and Sienna's HEA is fraught with issues, as Sienna has an awful family history and is inevitably in danger because of it. Micah may be considered an anti-hero because he's part of an organization that isn't all good so there is some darkness in the story but I think there was a disconnect for me between that aspect and how Micah was actually characterized and acted throughout the story. That said, he was really swoon, I enjoyed all the characters in the story and I loved the romance part of it. And the narration was really good. I always love Sarah Puckett but Gideon Frost is a newer narrator for me and he was really good! I thought that he had a smooth voice that worked well with the characters.

I loved this book it was so good since Nikki Ash books are always amazing I didn't even bother to read the blurb I went in blind and loved every minute of it. the story was beautiful, emotinal, sweet, funny, spicy. I loved the characters the narrators were perfect

The Risk of Falling by Nikki Ash is a marriage of convenience romantic suspense that I listened to on audio narrated by Gideon Frost and Sarah Puckett.

I absolutely love Nikki's books. I can't help but binge them in one sitting. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Micah and Sienna. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series A Risk Worth Taking to be released on January 25, 2024, so I can get Ellie's story.

Gideon and Sarah did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like marriage of convenience romances, romantic suspense, new adult romances, or contemporary romances.
