I enjoyed this book much more when I read it, and part of the problem is the narration. I imagine it's very demanding to 'do' all the characters, but every time I hear Nat, the main character's husband, my teeth are set on edge - he sounds exactly like the child in the film 'The Shining' as he cycled round the hotel corridors muttering about murder. It completely spoiled the story for me.

I loved this novel, which was beautifully narrated by Esther Wane, and contained just enough mystery to keep me up three nights in a row to find out what happened next! I loved this book so much, I wish I hadn’t read it so that I could start reading it all over again without knowing the ending!! A fabulous, deeply moving, mystery novel, with just the right amount of romance to make die-hard romantics like myself believe that, in the end, true love really is possible! Thank you Audible!
