Had me hooked and trying to find any excuse for piece and quiet so I could listen to more. Needles to say I’m right now listening to book two!! :)

For a book about time travel where the main character is practically immortal, this book somehow menages to avoid feeling like it has no stakes which is downright amazing.
The main character is goofy and very likable (for me at least), the supporting cast is fun and the characters have clear roles and personalities.
The lore of the world is handled very well, and not too much is revealed at once so the pacing feels good (there are a couple of flashback chapters, but ALL of them have a clear purpose and are important for the story).
The time travel mechanic is also handled very well, since the main character's life is threatened very rarely because of his power, the stakes are more emotional than physical but they do exist. Its also very fun to see different ways Ryan handles the same situations.
Summerer did a good job as the narrator, so i can't complain there.

Overall, this book was a very nice suprise. I went in not expecting a lot, but it quickly became one of my favourite finds on audible. Certainly not for people who look for huge stakes and people dying left right and center, but for people looking for a fun ride and an entertaining story, this is a must try.

Get it, you won't regret it.

Liked it, but it does not match the great, like HWFWM and Defiance of the fall.
The story does not live up to its potential, but an entertaining journey non the less.

Good flow, very entertaining, funny, enthralling time caper wrapped around the superhero genre. I like how it is steeped in European mythos and ethos rather than American, it is a European superhero ensemble

Even though there are resets and a time loop in the story, it doesn't feel repetitive and keeps the story interesting. The start was a unique way of starting with no context and straight to action, no character backstory or world building, but the author does add flashbacks in the story, which gives information about the characters and story.
