The 4th book in the series was a massive improvement over the third, great character development and a dip into intrigue/spy missions.

Really enjoy the world building but the book felt somewhat like a filler, a lot around rift building and less action than other books. Seemingly set up well for more action in book 5

Great continuation of the story, I like the way they progressed the age and tiers of the characters and looking forward to whats in store in the future.

The progression in this one and the supporting characters help this a lot and although I read this one ages ago I always enjoy a recoa through audio.
I'm a lot more used to the narration now so that helps a lot and the quality is great as we listen to nonstop action and personal growth.
Well recommend this series to anyone who likes good character progression and a mix of war, politics and interesting side activities.

Originally skips a bit if you originally listened to book 3 (not the omnibus/box set). But, the story is a great continuation of the story. I can't wait for the tournament in the next installment. Tournament sagas are my favourite
