I gave this series a go, as it was included in the Plus Catalogue. It is narrated perfectly and really enjoyed the unusual combination of humour and warmth, alongside some very brutal murders that set in a quirky reality.
Don't let the title and premise fool you, the stories aren't a cutesie gimmick for 'crazy cat ladies' (and gents), although I am sure cat lovers will delight in them. They are easy listening, entertaining and imaginative. A very solid series

This is has to be a cat lovers/murder mystery lovers dream. Light read for long train journeys or before bed. Loved it ! And will read the next one in the series - probably on my next long flight…

Genre: Cozy Murder Mystery.

About the Book: Hetty and Tilly live in a bed sit at the back of their friends delicious food shop. Hetty and Tilly have set up a detective agency in their modest environment and their first assignment is at the resedential home for slightly older cats. Three bodies have gone missing from their resting place; and the girls would never imagine what would happen next as the mysteries begin to unravel.

My Review: Cats with human minds, in a human world without humans = Faboulous! What a wonderful and Imaginative idea. The main characters are fantastic. I especially love Tilly who's warmth spreads throughout the pages and she is so adorable how she has such fondness for cardigans. The relationship between the two main characters is heart warming and the dynamic of the contrast personalities work brilliantly together. This story will make you smile but will also keep you hooked to ensure you know what happens next for the girls & the upcoming mysteries.

There are a few heavy info dumps. I do enjoy the twists and turns of this novel, yet I feel there didn't need to be so many. In my opinion this book would have been perfect with less.

Triggers - Murder, Suicide attempt & Grave Robbery.

A truly enjoyable novel and I will seek the additional books in the series. I highly recommend this story for cat lovers and people who enjoy similar genres.
