An evil woman has to make nine satanic sacrifices to open the gates and allow Satan to come back to earth. Five friends with special powers are drawn together to stop the woman and prevent Satan from being unleashed on the world. I thought the book was a bit on the cheesy side, the sacrifices were done without any ritual or incantations which is what you expect from this kind of sacrifice. The narration wasn’t very good. I just felt like winding the guy up as he spoke so slowly, and at times it sounded as if he had a sore throat. Maybe it would be fine for young adults who are into superheroes.
