About this listen

Lysander Hawkley combined breathtaking good looks with the kindest of hearts. He couldn't pass a neglected wife without rushing to the rescue, which invariably led to ecstatic bonking, which didn't please their erring husbands one bit. Let loose among the neglected wives of the ritzy county of Rutshire, Lysander causes absolute havoc.

But it is only when he meets Rannaldini, Rutshire's King Rat and a temperamental, fiendishly promiscuous international conductor, that the trouble really starts....

After being very disappointed with the narration on recent Jilly Cooper releases, I am delighted that they have chosen this person to do the job. No silly accents or drawn out pauses. I felt it was read as I would read it myself. Just ordered the next book in the series, and really looking forward to it. Thank you 😀

Brilliant performance and story

Horses, music and, well, bonking. Just a light listen, with RCB’s story continues within the main story.

Another brilliant Jilly Cooper.

Another fantastic fast paced romp through Rutshire. Lysander is a modest, loveable, humble character who balances out the vast number of huge ego's and narcissists in Rutshire. Nearly as good as Riders, Rivals and Polo.

Brilliant story and really enjoyable!
