What an explosive conclusion to this wonderful series. I have really enjoyed Scarlett and Albert’s romp through this dystopian world and am sad to leave them behind. Watching the characters evolve has been interesting and I love the diversity. I’m glad I finally managed to read the series and that I binged the whole lot over the period of about a week. I listened to the audio version of the series and it has been beautifully narrated throughout. All in all a humorous, fast-paced YA series.

This story took a little while to get into after Lockwood and Co. But it had a great balance of daredevil adventures and humour. A really entertaining journey.

If you've read the other Scarlett and Brown books (or any of Stroud's other books) you should know exactly what to expect. A nicely written, well-paced story with entertaining characters and the right balance of comedy and emotion.

I am continuously surprised and excited by Jonathan strouds books, I started reading them to my kids when they were younger but now I read them for myself.

this review is for all three in this series they are excellent books excellent characters and an amazing imagination go back and read Jonathan's other work they are well worth it
