About this listen

In Book Two of the series, Laughter Through Trials, Darcy and Elizabeth celebrated their courtship as Elizabeth was introduced to the Fitzwilliam family and London society. Their sojourn in town held a few difficulties, but the strength of their love allowed them to face the challenges and outwit their enemies.

Now Darcy and Elizabeth are returning to Hertfordshire for their wedding and Elizabeth worries there is still one trial to be faced - Mrs. Bennet. Her mother refuses to prepare the simple, elegant affair the couple wishes for their wedding day. Will it be the day of their dreams or a disaster?

However the wedding turns out, Darcy and Elizabeth are excited to begin their life together. The bright future before them fills their hearts with joy. Both know they will face periods of contentment and heartache, but united they will confront whatever comes their way. Will those they have previously encountered allow them to enjoy their happiness or will there be more misfortune for them to overcome?

Full of details regarding clothing , food & life of the period. Very little angst & lots of goodness, I loved every minute. The narrator is fabulous, doing all the voices & making the listening a joy.

All 3 books are excellent & a joy to read

I enjoyed the first two books in this series, but only about a third of this last book is about Darcy and Elizabeth. Their part of the story is good, but they're married in chapter 7 (out of 31)! The other 2 thirds are more like a super-long epilogue and completely failed to hold my interest. I do like to know what happens to other characters, but they shouldn't take up most of the book!

Far too long and wanders away from Darcy and Elizabeth
