Another great story in the Charlie Parker series enhanced enormously by the excellent narration of Jeff Harding. A narrator can make or break an audiobook and Mr Harding brings every character to life with believable individual voices. I hope he gets as much pleasure in his narration as I do listening to him bring John Connelly's books to life.

A cast of sinister and highly dangerous characters (including a killer nicknamed the "Golem") make life difficult for Charlie, although as usual he has backup in the shape of Angel and Louis. Also as usual, the reading is first class: Jeff Harding could read the instructions on how to assemble a piece of flat-pack furniture and make it sound riveting!
