Summary
When Robert came to get Charles for his watch it was pretty dark out and Charles had his plan set; as long as we can hear Clyde laughing and calling for Macy, I would know that Charles would be okay. I was so scared Charles would get caught, but he knows how to navigate woods and has a sense of direction. I kissed him goodbye and told him I loved him and he was off into the night quietly not to wake Robert or tip off Clyde. Charles took his pistol and a knife with him just in case; he was a good hunter and he told me if he ran into trouble he would fire the pistol three times. He told me before he left "be careful and don't trust anybody."
