First off, let me say that while this is not the first audiobook I have listened to, it is the first audiobook I have actively LISTENED to. By this I mean audiobooks for me are usually just background noise or else a way of listening to a book I really can't find the time to read but still have an interest in what it is about.

Not the case here.

Having already read The Highest Bidder, I went into this just thinking it would be interesting to see what the audio version would be like. And boy was I not disappointed. Far from it in fact.

The audio was clear, the narrators were an excellent choice and fit for the story and setting and damn if I wasn't engaged throughout the whole thing. It definitely elevated the whole story to new heights and brought about a new appreciation for me when it comes to spoken literature. In fact, while listening to it in bed, I even found myself backtracking each night to the last part that I actually remembered hearing before sleep took me so that I didn't miss out on any of the experience. That for me was a new one.

All in all, this is a fabulous addition to Arianna's collection as well as the whole MacTavish Heirs Series and I would urge anyone who enjoys this type of story, audiobooks in general or is just a huge fan of Arianna's work to give this a go. It is so well worth leaving the pages behind for a while and letting your ears take you on an adventure once in a while.

I enjoyed the story, I listened to the audiobook and while it took me a second to get used to the dual narration I enjoyed the performance. The one thing I had a harder time with was the chapters titles. While I do enjoy them, I found they threw me off slightly. I think it had more to do with listening to it since sometimes I miss or misunstand what has been said.
I liked the banter between the characters and how the story came about. This is the first book I have read by Arianna Fraser and I am looking forward to reading book 2 in this series. It's a series of interconnected standalones.

Been counting down to the release of one of my fave MacTavish Heirs tales. Delicious narration that only adds to this fast paced, spicy story with genuine laugh out loud moments!! You don't want to miss hearing Ethan brought to life. A story that you will have on repeat!!

I had read this book before listening to the audio and I have reviewed the book previously. Whether its audio or not please give this series a read. I love the MacTavishes in all their craziness.

The audio is amazing, well paced and I love hearing all the Scottish slang used!.
