this collection brings together some of the most referenced works in philosophy, and hearing them side by side makes it easier to spot recurring themes like power, virtue, control, identity, meaning. it covers a wide range of perspectives without trying to tie them together, which is actually part of the appeal.

some works are easier to take in than others, but all of them have shaped how people think about human behavior and the structure of society. it’s a useful entry point if you’re trying to get a sense of where a lot of modern thought originates. definitely more academic than inspirational.

A vast collection of some of the most canonical and iconic texts in philosophical history. Each is narrated by a different voice actor, which I appreciated, but the quality of each varied a touch. Naturally, the ear has a proclivity towards some over others, but as a whole, the delivery of each one was great.

You might want to listen to this with a notebook in hand, but since it is an audiobook you can always revisit each book. I'm very happy to have it in my collection and look forward to coming back to it many times.

We should really take note of the minds of old.

This collection offers a powerful journey through some of history’s greatest philosophical works. I appreciated the balance between Eastern and Western wisdom, and the narration was engaging. Some parts felt a bit dense for casual listening, but overall it’s a rich and valuable resource for self-reflection and insight.
